These terms cover your use of this website and the web development, SEO, automation and support services Web & Rank provides. Your proposal or order sets out the details of each project. These terms fill in everything around it.
Web & Rank is run by Web & Rank LTD, a company registered in Scotland, United Kingdom, and Web & Rank LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, United States. Your proposal or invoice shows which of the two companies you are contracting with. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company, and “you” means the person or business hiring us or using this website.
By using this website or accepting a proposal, quote or invoice from us, you agree to these terms. If anything in your proposal conflicts with these terms, the proposal wins for that project.
The content on this website is general information about our services and past work. It is not professional advice for your specific situation. Results shown in case studies and reviews are real, but every business is different and past results do not guarantee future results.
Please do not misuse the website, for example by trying to break its security, sending spam through our forms or copying our content, design or code without permission.
Before we start, we agree the work in writing, usually in a proposal, quote, order or email. It sets out what we will do, the price and the expected timeline. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless they say otherwise.
If you want to add or change something after we start, we will tell you whether it affects the price or timeline before we do it. Nothing extra is billed without your agreement.
If you hire us through Fiverr, Upwork or another marketplace, that platform’s own terms apply to the order, including how payments, refunds and disputes are handled. These terms apply to everything else, as long as they do not conflict with the platform’s terms.
Good projects need input from both sides. You agree to:
If we are waiting on something from you, timelines move by the same amount. If a project is paused for more than 60 days because we have not heard from you, we may close it and invoice the work completed so far. We are always happy to pick it up again later.
Your proposal states how many rounds of revisions are included. Revisions mean changes to the work we have agreed, not new features or pages. Once you approve a stage, further changes to that stage may be quoted separately.
Once you have paid in full, you own the final website, designs, written content and other deliverables we create specifically for you. Accounts we set up for you, such as hosting, Google Business Profile, analytics and CRM accounts, are registered in your name or transferred to you.
We keep ownership of our own tools, code libraries, templates and know-how that existed before your project or that we use across many projects, and we give you a permanent licence to use them as part of your deliverables. Third-party themes, plugins, fonts and stock images remain under their own licences.
We may show the work we do for you in our portfolio, case studies and proposals. We never publish your business name, logo or confidential results without your permission, and you can ask us not to show a project at all.
Search engines and platforms like Google control their own rankings and change them often. We follow current best practice and will always be open about what we are doing and why, but we cannot guarantee specific rankings, traffic, leads or revenue.
Our work often relies on third-party services such as hosting companies, WordPress, plugins, payment gateways and marketing platforms. We are not responsible for their outages, price changes, security issues or changes to how they work, but we will help you deal with them where we can.
We keep your business information, logins and data confidential and only use them to do the work you hired us for. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. If you need a data processing agreement, we will sign one.
If you find a bug in work we delivered within 30 days of delivery, we will fix it at no extra cost. This covers faults in our work, not new features, content changes or problems caused by later updates, third-party services or changes made by someone else. Ongoing support after that is available on a monthly plan or at our normal rates.
We take care over every project, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, or for losses caused by things outside our control. Our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project, or for monthly plans, the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer rather than a business, you also keep any rights the law gives you that cannot be removed by a contract.
If your contract is with Web & Rank LTD, these terms are governed by the law of Scotland and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction. If your contract is with Web & Rank LLC, these terms are governed by the law of the State of Wyoming, United States, and the courts of Wyoming have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory laws and courts of the country where you live.
If something goes wrong, please talk to us first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly with a conversation.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to new proposals and orders from the date shown at the top. Changes do not affect projects already agreed unless you accept them.
Talk to us before you sign anything. We are happy to explain any part of these terms or adjust them in your proposal where it makes sense.
