Local SEO services that put you in the map pack
When someone searches for a local business, Google shows a map with three businesses above everything else. Most people pick one of those three and never scroll further. We get you into those three places, in the areas you actually serve, and keep you there. This is one part of our wider SEO services.
United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
Usually thirty to sixty days to see movement
One shop or fifty branches, the same system either way
Every profile and listing stays in your name
Ranking on page one is not the same as being in the map pack
Google shows a map and three local businesses above the normal results. That box gets most of the clicks and nearly all of the phone calls. If you are not in it, someone standing two streets away will never find you.
You rank for the service, not the city
Your page ranks on page one, but the map above it is full of competitors. These are two separate systems in Google, and they need two different fixes.
A competitor with fewer reviews outranks you
The usual reasons are how close they are to the searcher, the categories they chose, and how complete their profile is. The number of reviews alone rarely explains it.
You appear in one suburb and vanish in the next
Search from your own office and your ranking looks fine. Search from the other side of the city and you disappear. Closing that gap is the whole job.
Your profile keeps getting edited or suspended
Anyone can suggest a change to your Google listing. Opening hours, phone numbers and even your business category can change without anyone telling you.
What a local SEO agency actually does for you
No standard package of tasks for the sake of it. Every month has one aim: getting you into the top three for the searches that end in a phone call. Here is what a month with us actually involves.
Google Business Profile, built out properly
Categories, services, areas covered, opening hours, products, photos and answered questions. Plus a post each week, so the profile never looks abandoned.
Rank tracking from a grid, not a single point
We check your ranking from dozens of points across your city. You can then see the exact streets where you appear and where you disappear.
Location pages that read like a local business
One page for each area you serve. Real detail about that area, your team, response times and nearby jobs. Not the same page with the town name swapped.
Citations and details that match everywhere
Your name, address and phone number matching across the directories Google actually checks. Duplicate and outdated listings removed.
Reviews you can grow on purpose
A way of asking for reviews that fits how your team already works. Replies written for every review. Enough of them coming in steadily that the total keeps rising.
Local links and mentions
Chambers of commerce, suppliers, local press, sponsorships and community pages. The kind of links a genuine local business would already have.
One location, or fifty
Local SEO for a single shop and local SEO for a fifty branch chain are different jobs. Both start the same way, by checking what Google can already see about you.
Single location
You serve one city, or the suburbs around a single address.
- Your Google profile taken from average to fully complete
- Ranking tracked suburb by suburb around your address
- Service pages written around how nearby customers actually search
- Reviews arriving steadily rather than in sudden bursts
Multi location and service areas
You have several branches, or vans covering a wide area.
- A Google profile for every location, managed together
- Location pages that do not compete against each other in search
- Area targeting for businesses that visit customers instead of having a shop
- A single report comparing every location side by side
The trades and professions we do this for
If your customers search for something near them and then phone someone, this is the cheapest source of work you have. These are the industries we handle most often.
Law firms and solicitors
Searches like “divorce solicitor Manchester” are among the most valuable there are. One case can pay for a year of work.
Dental and medical clinics
People look for a new dentist or doctor on their phone. Close to home, and usually after hours.
Home services
Heating, plumbing and electrical work. In an emergency people call one of the top three results, not the nicest website.
Builders and contractors
Extensions, roofing and landscaping. Customers read your reviews and look at your photos before they call.
Restaurants and hospitality
Bookings, menus and photos. For most restaurants the Google profile gets more visits than the website.
Estate agents and property
Area pages and branch listings that can compete with the big property portals.

Local SEO questions we get asked most
Straight answers, starting with the question everyone asks first.
How much do local SEO services cost?
There is no single price, and any agency that quotes one before looking at your market is guessing. Four things set the price. How competitive your city is. How many locations need to rank. What state your Google profile and website are in. How many search terms you want to win. One clinic in a small town is a very different job from a contractor covering a whole city with fifteen vans. We look at all of that first, then send one fixed monthly price with the work listed against it. You can then compare it to what one new customer is worth to you.
How long before we show up in the map pack?
Most businesses see their first movement within thirty to sixty days, because profile and category fixes work quickly. Getting into the top three and staying there usually takes three to six months. It takes longer in a city centre where every competitor already has hundreds of reviews. We track your ranking from points all over your area. You watch it improve street by street instead of waiting on one number.
Do you work with businesses outside the United States?
Yes. We work across the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The method is the same in each one, because Google treats local search the same way everywhere. What changes is which directories matter, which review sites people actually use, and how customers word their searches. We set those per country.
Can you handle more than one location?
Yes. We manage anything from two branches to more than fifty. Each location gets its own Google profile and its own page, written so they do not compete against each other. You get one report comparing them side by side, so you can see which branches are performing.
What happens if our Google Business Profile is suspended?
We deal with suspensions regularly. First we work out what caused it. Usually it is an address problem, a category change, or keywords stuffed into the business name. Then we appeal, with the documents Google asks for, and follow it through. We will also tell you honestly if a profile cannot be recovered, which does happen sometimes.
Do you need access to our website and profile?
Yes. We need manager access to your Google Business Profile and editor access to your website. Everything stays in your name. If we set up a new listing or tool for you, that account is yours, and it stays yours if we ever stop working together.
We already rank well. Is local SEO still worth it?
You can rank well in the normal results and still be missing from the map. That map box sits above you and takes most of the clicks on a phone. This is usually the cheapest win available. Most of the work is on your Google profile rather than your website, and it shows results faster than anything else in SEO.
Not sure whether local is the right place to start? Tell us the city and the service, and we will look before you commit to anything.
Tell us what you need and we will show you how we would do it
Share a few details about your business and what you want to fix or build. It could be a new website, a WordPress site that keeps breaking, SEO that has stalled, or a sales process that needs automating. We will come back with honest advice, even if that means a smaller job than you expected.
