A 22-year attorney's credentials, finally visible on her own site
Andi Geloo is a criminal defense and traffic attorney in Fairfax, Virginia, admitted to the Virginia State Bar for 22 years and the author of Andi’s Law, Va. Code § 8.01-247.1. She has been covered by The New York Times’ Women in the World project, Virginia Lawyers Weekly and Virginia Mercury, and appears on ABC News Channel 8 and DC News Live.
None of that came across on the old site.
Every page loaded, so nothing looked broken. But the credentials were buried in dense three-column blocks, the design was a generic dark template over stock photography, and some sections had never been finished — placeholder cards reading "Front Title" were still live. A visitor had no quick way to tell this was a 22-year attorney with a statute carrying her name.
The brief Andi kept repeating was three words: clean, classy, elegant.
We rebuilt the site from scratch on WordPress with Elementor Pro. No template, no theme demo imported and recoloured. Every section was built to the brief.
An editorial design, not a law firm template. Serif headlines, a warm neutral ground, one accent colour and a lot of whitespace. The restraint is the point: for a referral-led practice, a page that reads calm and considered does more work than one shouting about free consultations.
Credentials made checkable. The ratings sit near the top, and every badge links straight to the live profile on Google, Avvo, Yelp, Super Lawyers and Birdeye. Nothing is a screenshot. Anyone sceptical can open any of them and read what people actually wrote.
A practice areas section that answers the real question. "Who I Defend" sets out six areas — reckless driving, speeding, accident cases, suspended licence, criminal defense and personal injury — each leading with the thing a worried person needs to know. Reckless driving in Virginia is a Class 1 misdemeanour, not a ticket. That distinction is the page, not a footnote.
Dynamic reviews, pulled in automatically. 369 reviews display with their full text and the reviewer’s name, and they update themselves. Nobody copies and pastes a testimonial, and nobody has to remember to.
Built for how people search in Fairfax. Structure, headings and page titles follow how people look for an attorney in Fairfax County and across Virginia, rather than how a law firm describes itself internally.
The site is live at fairfaxvirginialawyer.com, delivered ahead of the agreed date despite a deliberately slow review process: Andi edited the site page by page so the copy stayed in her own voice rather than ours.
It is too early for ranking or traffic figures, and we would rather say so than publish a number the site has not earned yet. We will add them here once Search Console has enough history to be worth reading.
What we can report is the client’s own account of the work.
I interviewed a lot of people on Fiverr. You learn to read the profile. It can be scary because the person chatting is not always the person who will build your site. Others are honest but don’t have the English to understand what you mean. I kept saying clean, classy, elegant — simple words — and they did not translate.
Romail was different. He surpassed all of them. He understood my vision for website the first time. Clean, classy, elegant. I barely had to explain it. He got it.
He is prompt, hardworking, and respectful — not in a performative way, but in the real way. The way of someone who respects the work and respects you. He is smart, talented, and experienced. You are not hiring a student who will learn on your site. He knows what he is doing. No guessing. No improvisation.
As far as what I wished to convey, he let me edit page by page so the words stayed in my own voice. I know that made the project longer. He didn’t mind — although he delivered it well before the due date. It was important to him that I did it my way. He appreciated my vision for my own site. When something would not work design-wise, he told me straight — and he was right.
In the end, he built what I loved. It mattered to him that I loved it. I have never felt so supported by someone online. He was never far away. Always there. Easy to trust. Excellent English, excellent communication, excellent work — but more than that, he was present and knew what he was doing. He exceeded my expectations. I was very happy with the work. Highly recommended. A+ all the way.
